I wanted to make a new Kiev icon and I finished it.
Kiev and Chernigov have this new icon on the map.

When you come back maybe the Swedish nobles will have plumes. Maybe the Swedish reiters, too. This is not final just an experiment.
However the handmade helmets remain without plumes because it disturbs the sight like the winged hussar armor.

These look great is there any way you could release a mod with just these changes or tell me what files I would need to extract from your mod to port them to my personal mod folder.

I won't release icons or anything else separately.
After the release you may find these icons in the same file like in vanilla. I suppose the next release will be some weeks later, it depends on my free time.

Any news mate?

I have also seen the maker of the very successful magyar mod for total war is your namesake. Is that you too?

I worked  a bit with the map moving some settlements to better places.
Last time I changed the economy and I started a test campaign with the new settings. For example I limited olives where they actually produced, put salt resource to Cracow to represent the famous Polish salt mines, and limit the date fruits to Crimean cities. Date was produced in far Southern lands but it may appear in the Crimea by trade. And made Reval a mediocre velvet resource. European velvet production was important and Brugge was the most important source for Northern Europe. Grape production of Vilna was funny too, because grape can be produced only on a small part of the map and not at all so far north.
And I enjoy my new city icons on the map, they look really cool.

Yes, I am.

That's a nice summary, thanks.

Is there any chance you'll be releasing a "lite" version of this? I just cannot part from my old save at the day 500, but would like to see new village & town icons, and anything else that wouldn't require a new game.

I may upload the test version but new icons appear only in a new game. The same with the map.

But if these changes appear in a new game I will add a third horse to the horse merchants. It would be less agile but far more durable than the Arab Stallion.

Any chance of modelling new horses?

New horses? What for? There are 15 new or retextured horses already. The only one I'm not satisfied is the chestnut Arab horse but I don't have time to make it better.

I meant the new horse models, because no matter how well the existing ones are retextured, horses in MB still look....unremarkable.

Same case in MTW, which is what your Magyar mod utilizes those new, meaty looking horses.

Derp, I hope I was clear enough.

The skinning (called rigging in this community) of the horses might be better and the uv map, too, but these are small things.
However your comment reminds me I wanted to modify the model for the akhal teke horses. Maybe later when I will have time for it.
