OSP Medieval 2D Art Crusader Banners for Warband! Use as you wish. (Now with Saracen Banners)

Users who are viewing this thread

You're not supposed to individually put them in. Instead, for it to show up in-game, you have to open one of the banners_x.dds in Warband\Textures, and, after replacing some banners with these ones, Save As in your \Modules\Native\Textures folder, then set module.ini in \Native to scan_module_textures = 1 if you haven't done so already.

How can I open dds files? I have looking on the internet but I cant find something usefull.

You really need to hone your searching skills. DDS tools are not hiding from you.

http://eliteforce2.filefront.com/file/DDS_Converter;29412 - DDS converter, for converting files to and from ".dds" format.

http://developer.nvidia.com/object/photoshop_dds_plugins.html - DDS plugins for Photoshop, for opening and saving ".dds" files, within the program.

http://code.google.com/p/gimp-dds/ - DDS plugins for Gimp, for opening and saving ".dds" files, within the program.

Use a program such as Paint.net

You open the files with the banners, and paste in the Crusader ones on top of the ones you want to replace.

Hope this helps

Very nice banners! I really like the ones of the byzantine empire.

By the way, why not posting them in the mod section?

Glad to hear you like them

When I first made these, a long time ago, I was still a newb to this whole community thing, and in a way, I still am. I don't really know how to move this thread to the Mod section, but if some Moderator could do it, feel free

very good. how about making the current banner of  Sovrano Militare Ordine Ospedaliero di San Giovanni di Gerusalemme di Rodi e di Malta.
not that old, black background. and white cross is not pretty, but I prefer the current red.

Hi, Anardion !I really like the Crusader Banners for Warband you've shared !They are really awesome work. Could you just make two more banner for KnightsTemplar. The pattern are just like the HospitallerCross and Hospitaller you've made but with red cross and white background. I have been trying to make them by myself but I cannot make that kind of realistic effect you 've made. So I really hope you can do me a favor. Then the KnightsTemplar banner shall be perfect . Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Alright, so I've made the two banners you wanted, and added them to the download. I'm currently kinda busy at home so I don't have much time to make them as perfect as I might have wanted to, but they should be adequate at least. Hope you like them, and if you do need some help later, I'm always willing to help people who appreciate my work.

I don't mind getting feedback for my current banners, and ideas for new banners.

Thankyou, Anardion. I am very appreciate your help and your work for the banner. Your banner style is the most realistic one from all the banner I 've seen. Thankyou for making and sharing them again!!
By the way, I've downloaded  the banner  package again, but I didn't find the new banner in the package. Maybe there is some mistake of the download. Please recheck  the new banner has been add in the package , so I can find out what really happened thankyou !!!!

Anardion, I can not find the 2 new banners you added in the pack yesterday. Could you please check it again to make sure that they are in the pack? I really appreciate it!  Thankyou!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Indeed, you are correct. It seems, in my hurry, I left out the two new banners. I've uploaded them over again, so they should be there now. Thank you for letting me know.

Hope they'll be of good use.

I am really grateful to you for your work and effective working style. Hoping more and more great work from you would come out in the future! Thank you again!!!!!!

Good work  Anardion , Will it look good on the surcoats  ???....

Thanks. Some of the banners might look good on certain surcoats, though I am not entirely certain. I don't really see why they shouldn't... Although, if they don't look that good, you can probably do some changes, seeing as this download mostly contains the BMP files, which you again have to paste over existing banners... so pasting over an old banner with the same background colour, should make them blend very well with the surcoats. Suppose you'll have to try to know, really
