Crouching

Just a few hours ago, I got unhorsed, pulled out my shield, and got shot in the legs a few times until I died. Then I thought to myself, "HEY! What if there were a crouch feature? It would help the shield cover up all of your body instead of just your middle!" but then of course with the kite shields there might be a clipping problem, but, nevertheless, I thought it might be a good idea to suggest it.

crouching is also good for teabagging in warband

YES YES YES!!!!

I love it. I can only count the numerous ocations that crouching would be awesome

And it would enable a couple new commands for your troops *Take Cover*

This would add a great dimention to combat as well as making the gun mods more realistic.

It would be particularly useful for ducking arrows/horizontal melee strikes or finding cover in the spaces between crenellations.

Give AI crossbowmen the ability to do so behind board shields and we'd be facing pavise crossbowmen--yikes.

You are correct. Crouching is a must.
Imagine: the enemy charges in. You command your infanty line to duck. The archers behind them shoot the enemy. The infantry get up and finish the remaining resistance.

Also, agree on spoiler.

It would be too awesome against cavalery :
First line of spearmen crouched and the second is not crouched so they can double their damage

Now that I think of it, being able to fall prone at will would be useful too. Maybe just with the crossbow. But in mods that have rifles it would be very useful.
