Curiously, that same update fixed clipping issues for women wearing female clothing, making me wonder where their priorities are at or if they feel a reason to call a bug a feature or something.

It's coming.

Mmh, maybe it is time to introduce the concept of unisex clothing? Because, issue aside, the first three do not look out of place to me at all?
(Or rather, Lamarc looks like he is "wearing casual" - it would look a little odd, if he walked about town dressed like that... last time I checked lords never do that though, so it's not effectively a problem, is it?)

... The last two guys make up for it, though, they their sense of fashion should definitely be fixed.

On the contrary, they introduced it deliberately.
That isn't what that means. Male NPCs wearing dresses has been a bug since 2020. That patch note just meant that dresses would no longer clip when a male character is put in a dress - if the player wanted to do that.

I just don't get how this can still be a bug after three years.

If it was a bug it would have been fixed, but they fixed the problem with dresses on male NPCs.
There's a lot of little bugs (like Policies not working as they say they do, or even at all) since the start of early access, so I can totally believe they consider it a low enough priority that it may be one of the last things they ever fix.

Besides, I suspect that fix for males in female clothing might have fixed the issue of female clothing on females, which I really cared about since I spent half my first playthrough (a VERY long playthrough!), as my first generation male character's daughter (and, considering the value of males in bringing in new clan members versus females who can't do that unless they're the clan head, I'm probably always going to be playing a female by the second generation so it's impossible to miss).

What an omission...

There have been many complaints about it, I guess taleworlds cares more about pushing cross dressing than making a good game because they won't fix it.

In my first play through, when my heir showed up after coming of age, he was sporting a full-on noble dress. During his upbringing, there was an episode at the 16 year skill allocation where he randomly rolled getting a focus point and 5 skill points in roguery. The flavor text was that something happened while he was traveling, but none of his traveling companions would talk about it.

I was wondering if they were connected.

Lol talk about emergent storytelling. I strongly suspect that's just an... interesting coincidence. Thankfully, the worst I had to deal with is my sons having awful (and identical!) haircuts and beards! It was a... surprise, when my son-in-law showed up in a Battanian dress for the wedding. Thankfully, I was able to fix that afterwards but still...

I did hear kids actually have traits now? Hopefully they won't be clones either, someday...

Yeah. Add on the fact that there is a bug/undocumented feature that makes it impossible to negotiate marriages while leading an army. I was walking around trying to find someone to marry my son and no one was interested. Maybe they knew something about him that I didn’t.

That definitely creates some dramatic emergent storytelling lol. I didn't know the game doesn't let you negotiate marriages while leading an army--I guess I sorted that out without doing so--which is something I'd hope is fixed (and reported) since that could be really annoying to have to disband the army to go wife-hunting for your boys when all the patriarchs and matriarchs are likely with you already.

v. 1.1.0
Latest Changes

- Male characters can now wear female clothing without clipping issues.
maybe for the player is ok, you could do that in warband too, but for NPC ?!
consider the 5 pictures that i've uploaded .... in one city ... 7 lords .... 5 crossdressers. it's a lot for one town.
it's a minor issue, but still bothers me. they should prevent the AI lords from doing it.
