I'd trade my 250 Rhodok Sharpshooters for 250 Nord Huscarls, so OP, no complaining ya got the most kick ass troops for attacking castles and cities xD.

yes but huscarls are harder to train and cost more. plus for some reason my huscarls seem to die more often in siege battles. mamlukes for me on the other hand have rarely died. could be jst my luck but thats what i noticed.
I still use my heavy cavalry for field battles, but fill my cities with Rhodok crossbowmen. Mainly they are just there to scare away enemies, but they are also cheap, easy to train, good in auto calc, and good if I physically defend my city.
QFT.
I've assaulted Ibdeles along with my swadian friends, taking fire from that wall on the left of the siege tower and from the big tower and the small one further down the right side, as well as from the front, is not pleasant. Then, when you manage to get a foot on the wall, the guys on the left still fire at you, ditto with the guys on the right big tower till you deal with them, and you also take fire from the inner gatehouse and soemtimes even from the outer gatehouse...
Good thing I didn't participate in the fall of Grunwalder...
