crossbow and arrows

It looks like I am missing something BIG about armaments in M&B.. I have a crossbow (cracked light one..) and some arrows in Arms slots.. But, whenever I try to shot something, It says "no arrows..".. Do crossbows need some different kind of arrows?

Crossbows use bolts, not arrows.

oh well.. then, "You are not carrying any arrows" message is wrong, I think.

Yeah, you're right. I guess it should read "You are not carrying any bolts." I can see why you might have been confused.
