Criticizing an early access game released 1 day ago lol

Yet they want people to pay them, so they can get feedback to fix a game that they apparently don't know how to fix. Probably why it took them so long to develop the game in the first place.
Now that's uncalled for. These people have been making this series from scratch with very little working experience. Bugger off.

How is anyone not familiar with what an early access game is? Paid to play the beta essentially.

Either refund or wait; complaining about this will change nothing including making you feel better about the state of the game.

Very little working experience? Are you out of your mind? They technically have released 3 games. Or 1 game and 2 major DLCs. Along with over a decade of development of all games.

I don't have a problem with there being bugs in an early access game and I also happen to enjoy playing Bannerlord, but what exactly were they doing during the 8 years of development? It feels like a Warband reskin with some additional features. A lot of the lines of text are exactly the same, there are only two or three unique town/village scenes per faction, etc.

My guess is their dev team had a lot of turn over which is why they didn't make much progress on the game. Hopefully they can use some of the money they earned from early access to bring on additional devs to work on the game.

If you compare the present bannerlord to 2018 gameplay , you notice that everything is the same. Maybe having deadlines is not so bad after all?

I mean in the context that they didn't make them in the large profesional enviroments most modern series are thrown out of. Think of it as comparing an author to a Newspaper team. This is one of the most popular genuine small-team indie series of the times. They have never come over that polished, but they have always been fun

Dude are you serious? They did a Beta for free! Also, it is obvious you don't know anything about games development process. I don't know why people think Early Access is a bad thing, don't buy it if you don't wanna give feedback, personally I would like to help the development process with my feedbacks. The devs ask for your opinion like you are a VIP, you can give feedback and change something. Persons such as Noudelle and Gab gave hella feedbacks about Combat and such things.I don't know if the devs changed something because of their feedbacks but still, you can change something, isn't it great?

Hey guess what, this is the answer I wrote to another post, check it
All right, lets watch this (you probably won't understand it because it's in the Turkish language, I'll translate the important part) (video)
The interviewer asks something about 8-year stuff, not related.
Armagan "Sure we didn't say "We'll release it in 2019 let's just announce it now"when we decided to announce it (Bannerlord), but it is like this.. Although we have experience from our previous games, there isn't enough Know-How in Turkey. Our staff is extraordinary(positive meaning) skilled but our friends (employees) who come to work with us don't come to us with a lot of experience, they learn while they are working We also learn while we are working"
And they developed their old games with fewer people, easier to command. More people means harder to command, which needs experience

Right. Taleworlds is a company of 100 people. That may sound like a lot to you, but it really isn´t when you consider the scope of Bannerlord. To put this in context, a company like DICE has a dedicated QA-team of 50-100 people. It´s impossible for a company the size of TW to both develop and QA-test as effectively as an AAA-company.

In regards to them taking so long to develop the game. Time is a bad metric to predict how finished a game will be. I have no idea where this idea comes from, but we already know from games like The Witcher 3 (took 4 years) and Duke Nukem Forever (took 15 years) that time doesn´t mean anything in regards to quality.

If you´re smart, you´ll take the advice Taleworlds gave you and refund the game then come back in a year or so when early access has ended. You´re not going to get anywhere by spazzing out on this forum.

Ask for your opinion like you're a VIP and charge you the price of a VIP. Like buying a VIP membership to a club and going in to help them finish building it.

Being able to give input while it still can change something is the whole point of buying EA. If you plan to be quiet you're better off waiting for release.

You didn't pay full price, and still you can give your opinions to builders, that means there will be more features you like in that club. Win-Win situation.

I can give my opinion to the builders, but doesn't mean they're going to listen to me.

If your opinion is sensible and possible, why not? That's a risk, like playing a bet. If you don't like taking risks, refund it.

Yeah it is early access and there are some clear flaws in the released product. I was concerned this new game was just going to be a texture update, but I am finding they have improved on the core of what first grabbed me about the original Mount and Blade.

They have the foundation laid out and they are going to build upon the original, it will just require some patience some people don't have.

'A fool and his money are soon parted'.

Have some responsibility for your purchases. Early Access means an unfinished game with bugs. There's a big warning on the Steam page. If you cannot deal with teething issues then DON'T BUY EARLY ACCESS.

Pretty simple.

TW couldn't stress enough that if you're wanting the full experience, to hold off buying it. They announced all the WIP features, so you bought the game knowing these features would be lacking, but are still going to come during the EA period.

In my opinion, the game is worth way more than the asking price, there's games you pay more for with less replayability and less overall game time.

When i booted the game up and started my first campaign, it was so damn amazing. Got emerged into the world within split second. So many things look and work so awesome.

Than you realize you are playing warband. Taverns are identical, the NPC’s, the story (the bandits in start etc), how you start up. Most disturbing is the same dialogue. What the hell is going on?
So much nice stuff and new engine and you choose to make it feel like replaying warband?
I’m so confused.
I hope our ‘support’ will get resources to some story writers/dialogue. So much amazing stuff (traits is really made well) and what a base for future mods! But is it just that, it relies on mods to make the game good?
I’m gonna wait, though it’s cool to fight in the field again I just feel I’m playing warband
