Hello, I would make a lightsaber from a sword simple, I want to know how to change the handle and put a texture lightsaber

Either choose a complex set of material flags or write your own shader.
Anyway, additive blending is the key. Take a look to our mod for 'inspiration'.

Simplest way to do it is how they did it in the jedi knight games. You'll need 2 identical planes. Double sided. The "blade" texture goes on them (white core in the middle, glow with transparency on the edges). Now just cross them in a 90 degree angle the and attach them to the blade. Export, play around with shaders, and voila, a lightsaber.
 
I'm just waiting for someone to explain clearly how to do it, I do not touch anything that is a graphical usually..

You'll need to make a model first. Use wings 3d or some other program for that. A lot of tutorials on how to use them in the link I posted in this thread. Then You'll need to make a texture in photoshop or some other program. Example (you will have to create an alpha channel for transparency. Click the square with the circle in it in the channels tab). After that you will need to import everything to a brf file. Use openbrf for that. You'll have to create a material for it. Use a shader that supports transparency. Then you just got to get it in game. Either use the module system or much easier one of the free programs that allows you to mod the game http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/board,22.0.html.
 
i'm very sorry for double post but, I tried lots of shader and the game is still invisible Lightsabers .. i'm a noob with OpenBRF and 3D model...  :oops:
