Resolved Crashing At Loading Screen.

I can't even get to the main menu or anything. As soon as I click play on the steam page, it gets to the very first loading screen BEFORE you get to the main menu, and it crashes.

This is what it says on the screen before it crashes:



Application crashed because a fatal error occurred while reading a file.

Common cause of this is a corrupted game file.

Re-validating game files may this issue.

File:..//..Modules/Native/AssetPackages/animation_clips.tpac

-Error: Decompression failure.

None of this means anything to me. I can't do even the simplest amount of coding. Just installing mods can be extremely complicated for me and often need to be told in baby-steps how to do so, so this reads like some foreign language to me. And ignore that link thing...idk why its there.

“.tpac” file related issues
If the game has a decompression failure problem, players can try this method:

• Open: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules\Native\AssetPackages folder.
• The error message should have the name of a file with the file extension “.tpac”.
• Locate and delete the file in the AssetPackages folder.
• Verify the game files through Steam

How do you verify a game file in steam?

every single file in that folder has a .tpac extension at the end of it!!! So delete the entire foldder's contents!!??

You can check this guide here. You should only delete the file you see in the error first. (animation_clips.tpac) If that does not work, delete all of the folder.
