Summary: I have been playing the game on my pc on gamepass. I started out playing the game at 59 fps with very high settings and the game would crash every 5 minutes or so. Sometimes it would crash during battles, sometimes when talking to npc in a town, or sometimes just on the world map. I tried troubleshooting by uninstalling the game and doing a fresh install, repairing the game files in gamepass, updating to latest driver for GPU. None of that seemed to help at all. So I lowered fps to 29, and turned settings from very high, to high, to medium. Each step down in graphics seemed to improve stability. Now on medium settings with 29 fps, I can play for maybe an hour before it crashes, but it still crashes every hour or so. I feel like with my pc I should be able to play on the highest settings. I would buy the game through steam if I thought it would work as it should. I get the same error message every time, and have done the upload error files thing twice but not every time as it takes a long time. Also after it crashes, I have to restart my pc before the game will launch again.

Error message: d3d_device_context_->map at rglGPU_device::lock_textureFailed!
The gpu instance has been suspended. Use GetDeviceRemoveReason to determine the appropriate action.
How to Reproduce: just play the game.

This crash is a GPU crash. Which is different from the other crashes that can be caused by gameplay actions. While we are still investigating the issue there is not a definite fix that we can offer to support this issue at the moment. You can try the workaround below but please note that it is not a solid fix. Thanks for reporting. Sorry for any inconvenience.
A possible fix for RGLGPU_DEVICE::LOCK_TEXTURE Crash
If you are crashing in the middle of the game with the “RGLGPU_DEVICE::LOCK_TEXTURE” error, you can try the workaround below to fix it:
Expanding the swap size on your hard disk. You can find more info regarding this here.
