In Progress Crash when loading save game from v1.0.3 after the v.1.1.0 update

Summary: Ever since the v1.1.0 update I cannot load my save from before the update (actually the save is from 1 day before the update). First I waited for the next update to hopefully fix it, but now (3 versions later) I still cannot load the save game.

Please help. I already verified the game files and starting a new game works, so it has to be related to the save itself.
I really like this game and I played on this save for 6 months and I just don't want to start over now.

How to Reproduce: Try to load the save game with a game version > 1.1.0 (I uploaded the dump with the save)

Nope, issue still persists. I checked just now and still cannot load the save.
