Crash when attacked returning kidnapped girl

I noticed as I was returning from delivering the ransom and on my way back to the town of origin that when this group of bandits attacked me the game would crash. I tried a couple of times after having to restart the game and had similar results. The kidnapped girl was standing right beside me during the entire battle and she was never touched.
Finally I dodged every bandit and made it to town without a problem. Just thought you would like to know.
