i have tried everything in callums support post, aswell as updateing drivers and the like and downloading the newest version of DirectX aswell as uninstaling the game compleatly, but nothing seems to work, any help is appreciated and id happily try to elaborate more on it if anyone wants to know something specific

Same problem. I haven't been able to play it at all today, but it has worked just fine previously this week.

This person has a similar problem. For them the problem was having the page file set to a low number.

Can you follow this guide https://www.thewindowsclub.com/increase-page-file-size-virtual-memory-windows and check if your page file as at an appropriate number?

Also check this https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical...extureAsset-ResizeAndCopy/td-p/7419574/page/6 might be of help.

If your page file isn't set to a really low size and you tried everything from the threads. Try this:

1. Go to Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Configs
2. Make a backup of engine_config
3. Open engine_config
4. Set texture_quality to 1
5. Set display_mode to 1
6. Make sure display_width and display_height are the same as your monitor and make sure display_refresh_rate is set to the one of your monitor.
7. Save and load the game.

If this doesn't work return to default setting and save so you return to your original settings so it doesn't cause more issues.

Unfortunately, I have tried all of the above guides and suggestions with no success in being able to launch the game still without crashing.

That's strange, can you do a search on your PC drives for engine_config. See if it's stored somewhere else.

I uninstalled my graphics card, then reinstalled the graphics card. Now the game works again!

Can anyone else try this? Reinstall your graphics driver.

I searched my computer yea those files doesn't exist on my computer. could it be because my game is downloaded in a second driver?

Is your game perhaps installed to a Program Files folder?

Yes I did clear reinstall. It helped.

Nice, looks like it might be a driver related issue then. A clean install should help others too

Nooo, it's installed in a second 2TB SSD which doesn't have a Program Files folder. Its just :grin:/Steamlibrary/steamapps/common/Mount & Blade II Bannerlord. I downloaded the missing files from a friend. my game is now able to launch but singleplayer isn't able to save. the game just says "Save Fail: Cannot create game save"

Do you have OneDrive installed by any chance? People online (https://steamcommunity.com/app/110800/discussions/0/648814213881243252/) that have similar issues usually have some sort of cloud backup service that prevents the documents being saved in the Documents folder. Try uninstalling OneDrive or any cloud backup if you have it and reinstall the game and see if it works. It also might be an antivirus problem https://forums.tomshardware.com/thr...ments-folder-briefly-worked-but-then.3461264/

As you can see the problem is that something is preventing the folder being written to Documents. Try and figure what that is.

Also can you tell me when you right click on Bannerlord on steam, go to Properties -> Updates is Steam Cloud ticked?

Wow thanks! it works now! I think it was the antivirus! I did check steam cloud and it was checked so I unchecked it. lol should i leave checked?

Yes leave it checked as it's the default state. Also, if the problem arises again let us know so we can clearly define it, but as you said it was probably the antivirus not allowing the creation of the folder  Glad it worked man, have fun!
