Summary:
I just installed the game for the first time on this PC. I opened the launcher, on Single Player and clicked Play.

Game crashes after a few seconds (my entire computer is unusable and I have to reset the PC). I then tried to launch the game again, but the second time it prompted for Safe mode. I clicked on Yes for Safe mode and then I was able to send in this crash dump. If it wasn't for Safe mode my entire PC would just crash and I need to reset and cannot send in a crash dump log. Note, I'm not talking BSOD crashes, but just generally no inputs work any longer and it just freezes the PC.

Crash log dump id provided in the details.

How to Reproduce:
1. Install game fresh on new PC
2. Click on Play in Steam
3. Click on Singleplayer in Launcher
4. Click on Play in Launcher
5. Wait and see the loading screen wallpaper

Have you used cheats and if so which: no.
Scene Name (if related): not relevant.
Media (Screenshots & Video):

I updated my GPU drivers to version 560.94. The crashing remains, unfortunately. Although the complete freezing of my PC didn't occur this time (not using Safe Mode now), and I was able to send another crash log: 2024-08-26_17.10.26_b32396276dcf3a3da1a8eeea758c1a32 (hoping that extra log would make any difference in getting extra info about the issue - probably not then).

Going off of what you're saying I'm assuming a lot of users with GPUs similar to mine will have the problem.

Do you know if Taleworlds is actually in touch with Nvidia regarding this issue then? Is there a proposed fix underway? Is this communicated anywhere so we can track the status?

Ok, update:
I just installed a new version of my motherboard BIOS to the latest which supports the microcode 0x129 to address sporadic behavior. I did not expect this could be related to the start-up issue I experienced with Bannerlord, but after the BIOS Flash update to the latest version, I was suddenly able to reach the main menu, and actually create a new campaign + get into the overworld map...

In other words, updating my BIOS to the latest version (not my GPU drivers), actually resolved the issue. I hope other users with the same issues can also try this and perhaps it resolves their issues as well.
