In Progress Crash After initial loading, before the game menu on single and multiplayer

My game crashes after initial loading and after the company animation, before the main menu. I have tried a number of potential fixes with no joy, including a clean install following the instructions on this forum. I played the game when it was first released on steam and it worked perfectly, no crashes but when I tried to install it recently it just crashes as above. Thank you for your help resolving the matter.

OS: Windows 10 64Bit
GPU: GTX 980Ti
GPU Driver Version: Geforce 460.89
CPU: Intel i5 4690k
RAM: 16GB Gskill 2400 DDR3
Motherboard: Asus Z97 Pro
Storage Device (HDD/SSD): HDD for game, SSD for OS

I am still getting this issue. Is the crash still being investigated? I have been unable to play since initial release on steam.
