Summary: Hi, everytime I craft a weapon that becomes either a masterwork, fine or legendary... all the + attributes are restored to 0 the next time i load my save file. I tried reinstalling, tried different mods, naming my items, .etc.
How to Reproduce: Simply, craft something until you get a legendary stat bonus , save your game and reload.
Have you used cheats and if so which: I used both non-cheats and cheats to try. The cheats I used once was (unlock all smithing parts) , xp points to crafting , etc. There was no difference with my other gamefile that had 200 crafting and no cheating,.

Thank you for trying to fix this. The smithing perks for making legendary and fine equipment lose their meaning if the items lose their buffs after reloading our save files.
Also, I suspect this bug can be used as a cheat by removing nerfs from crude or broken equipment.

Id like to point out that there is no skill milestone for triggering these modifiers either, a 20 skill smith can make legendary, masterwork and fine without the perks or skill as long as the parts are already unlocked

Additional info to add to this, I took pictures of 12 party items I made several nights ago, every single one of them have different values now. Anything held by the player character simply revert to default sizes but do not lose their modifiers, everything held by companions lose both their size modifiers and stat modifiers.

Yes improved weapons are all reverting back to baseline.
ALSO: after an item is made & in the queue there is always always something wrong with it, for example blade length is distorted.

cant copy & paste a weapon name without getting code for the paste.
This makes the game a slower less enjoyable play.

Please make a stable version of your game.

yes, forged items revert back to baseline values. The game is getting worse.

Please fix the naming problem.

Hmm, while an apology is appreciated for the inconvenience of many features in this game that could still be improved.... It still wont fix the previously functioning smithing aspect of the game you/ (taleworlds) broke. (Nor meld my broken Blacksmithing heart)

As it has been over a month now since this has been reported to you, and has been circulating in other forums for much longer.. I hope by now a hotfix should be released any day now, or at least some information, if it would not be too inconvenient..

I did a bit of testing on this, I crafted a bunch of javelins
Thin Fine Steel Hewing Spear Head, Mahogany Javelin Shaft, Spiked Round Spear Pommel, Riveted Spear Head Reinforcement
With the shaft and spear head set to maximum length.
Now the stats when crafted are Weight 1.50, Reach 133, Damage 141, Speed 27, Accuracy 92, Count 5
The ones I added custom names for became after a reload Reach 119, Damage 136, Speed 27, Accuracy 92, Count 5

But the ones I just left as Crafted Javelin and did not edit the name at all are 133, Damage 140, Speed 26, 92 and 5. Notice the 1 point drop in Damage and Speed, Yet the opposite happens here, save and reload the game and these generic named javelins regain that lost point and are now. Reach 133, Damage 141, Speed 27, Accuracy 92, Count 5, exactly as they are suppose to be according to the crafting window.

So if you give it a custom name it resets all components to base when reloaded, if you leave it with a generic name it does save the stats even if it originally crafts with reduced stats but then fixes itself when you reload a save game.

On that 'point', how much do Javs sell for these days? I bet with the amount a few 2 handers still sell for though you can now retire as a hermit on top of a mountain for the rest of your days. As the games economy is still practically undermined by one skill you might do better to retire 'early' because at the rate they keep adding things to 'improve' things such as the economy, they break more things, and fundamentally flawed concepts existed go unaddressed.

I even heard talk of DLC...

Unless the crafter got the skills to churn out Masterwork and Legendary weapons it doesn't mean much at all. Just because you unoock all parts and can bang out some nice recipes it mean little if the crafter is low skilled and chrun out rusty quality weapons.

This is still not fixed as of September 10th, 2023 on game version 1.1.5.21456, just an update.

This appears to be fixed in latest beta for me. Now i just have 2 handed crafted axes turning into 'Trash' item lol -_-'

This was not my experience. You can still earn a game breaking amount of money once recipes are unlocked, emptying the towns money town to town.

I've been informed that this bug is fixed and the fix will be sent to the game with future patches. Thanks for reporting and sorry for any inconvenience!

I've seen this very same reply to the same complaints across multiple forums for about a year, yet the problem still persists. Any plans for an actual fix? I'd like to play this game but things like this keep me away for months at a time...

The version which the fix is applied is not released yet. We are working hard to deliver the next patch as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
