couple of questions

1)is there a reason to choose a side and do the quest the counts give you other then rank and gold? do you get somehting eventually?

2)is there a point to the arena other then xp and gold?

3)do your troops take loot?

4)how long before the merchants get back the stuff you buy, they never seem to have what i need for the equipment quests.

5) whats the max char level?

6) whats the best armor and weapons, and how do i get them

1) Choosing a side also gives you the ability to attack members of the opposing side.

2) No.

3) No. Well... sort of. It's been suggested that the reason you don't get all of the defeated party's equipment is because your troops take it as sort of supplemental payment. But that's really just a rationalization of existing gameplay-balance safeguards. As far as I know, the amount of loot you get is not dependant on how many troops you have, unless you're jumping into a fight in progress. In that case, you get more loot if you have more troops than your allies, less if you have fewer troops.

4) I believe it's a day, but it may be half of a day.

5) There is none, as far as I know.

6) Stat-wise, reinforced black armor is the best. It'll slow you down more than, say, robes though. You get it just like you get anything else. As loot (from Dark Knights, I believe) or from stores. It has a pretty small chance of spawning in a store, though.
