Council for WB clan match rules NEW VOTE ON ROUND TIME 23 FEB

I say when someone breaks the rules everyone agreed on he/the clan should be added to list of shame. Simple. Cruel. Childish. But I like it.

I think they should lose the round by default. If they win.
For the first offence of a player. If he continues to exploit/cheat the player hsould be removed on the 3rd occasion.

Some of you might think this is too lenient. However I rather play games than win by default/by outnumbering people. The glitch/exploit/cheat was only effective and only negatively effects the game if it causes the cheaters to win the round so I think if they lose anyway it is irrelevant(not that that wouldn't count towards the specific players three strikes). Intent is also important, if a guy is just ****ing around or does it accidentally with ZERO effect on the round I think it should have zero effect on the round. It is more disruptive calling on every single little thing if it has had no effect, e.g. seeing a guy super jump for no reason and claiming a default win of the round when it has had no effect on the round. Backing this up would cause more game disruption than the exploit itself.

Perhaps there should be a list if teams routinely cheat provided evidence is provided. In the form of irrefutable proof. We cannot have it based on claims with no backing.

Just wondering if there are usually any rules concerning the amount of cavalry/infantry/archers allowed in clan matches.

Nope.

Also I suggest longer rounds as standard. Maybe 10 minutes and less rounds per game or a match would take twice as long! With SZ we kept drawing/being forced to MoF it got annoying and stopped the battle slowly evolving as it should.

Yea but 5 minute rounds are too short.

In our last match with SZ I am of the opinion that were were forced to move or run out of time and draw/MoF in almost every round. Played tactically Warband can be a slow game. On Village we even had a couple of retreats happen after literally only 1 or 2 deaths. Then the odd shot here and there taking a guy the battle was slowly evolving as people got taken out then BAM its master of the field better get moving lads, tactics out the window just get that damn flag.

I don't like it.

Plazek, sorry if these info is in topic, but:

1) The match  is 10 rounds, could it contain draw rounds, or only victories\defeats?
2) If someone dissconected in the beggining of round (before anyone's death), should other clan move someone in spec's for this round?
3) Map changes each 5 rounds, or only spawn sides, and map changes each 10 rounds? (i saw the first post, but still not sure )

round draws are still "rounds" and therefor counted.

If it is only 1 or 2 people, i dont think it should be a problem, but you can always ask the other clan if it really bothers you.

Spawn changes after 5 rounds, draws or no draws

but ye, vote on time incoming.

VOTE ON TIME IS ON 1 WEEK DEADLINE.

I think 7min is the best way, 1/2 match would last 9*7=63min if you camp and wait for the flag ALL the rounds which doesnt really happens

I think 10 mins is win.

We can either half the amount of rounds to 5 and have team A play 3 in their desired location then switch.

Or for simplicity have 6 rounds and 3 on each side. After all not all rounds will last the full 10 minutes.

(i didnt find info about this in 1st post):

What about spec camera? I believe that it should be free for teammates or teammates view. Why so?
1) so that tactical commander could give commands, being in spectators.
2) so that spectator could make nice video.

Right?

Anf one more thing - sorry, maybe i m stupid, but i dont understand rules in first post,

5 rounds
    a - map
    a- position
    a - faction
    b - faction
5 rounds
    b - map
    b- position
    b - faction
    a - faction

So clan a choose map, position, faction? But other 5 rounds clan b can choose other faction, map, and position?
Then, why in battle 22nd vs RS we played 10 rounds on 1 map, for 1 faction each clan?

It is 5 round

a chooses map, position, faction

b chooses faction.

Swap map positions, then 5 rounds again.

Then same again but with team b choosing first.

thx4answer, but could u tell smthng about spec camera, my question is in previous post.

2NaglFaar: why are u leaving? )

We're going to make a template/ Form that both clans will fill in. I'll post it here when I'm done.
That form won't co-operate with the council.

In the end I feel that these rules are quite redundant and mostly useless, it could be used as a guide line but it's easier and better just make an agreement between the two warring clans. So many strict rules are needed only for tournament, not for clan wars, where they are quite intrusive...

Or at least this is the opinion of a simple clan player, so don't take that too hard

Yea the hope is that as a result of many friendly matches using a variety of rules, both council approved and experimental that we will be able to creat a rule set that the majority of clans agree is useful and effective.
Having done so we will be able to start a league or tournament much easier than if we then decided to get all clans involved to agree on them for that specific league or tournament. Also having to creat rules in such a quick manner as for a specific purpose means that our slowly created and repeatedly playtested and adjusted rules will be far superior.

For example after the last match with RS it turned out that 5 minute rounds were just fine with 10 or so people a side, there were no draws and fewer MoF than in the 20 a side SZ match. As a result I suggest that we perhaps have a sliding scale for round time based upon the size of the match. Maybe a single option is simpler but, 5 mins for 15 or less and 10 mins for 16 or more?

As for spectator camera, I think it is best locked on team unless both clans agree otherwise, however this is something that is yet to be confirmed by a vote.
