Unless I'm reading the equipment list incorrectly, the warbow costs almost twice as much as a long bow, even though the latter is slightly more powerful in terms of damage. So why the expensivness of the war bow?

As far as I'm concerned, the longbow RULZ. Actually, my character, Karl, is racialist. Innit.

Err...

I like the (very) flat trajectory of arrows twung from the longbow. Granted, I've never taken the time nor money to experiment with a warbow, but...

The warbow has a very 'flat' trajectory also. I think the trajectory of the arrow is actually determined by your power draw and/or your archery skill, but then again, I may be wrong.
Once you're running around with 100k's of cash, there's really no reason not to invest in a warbow. My horse archer can run around black knights getting headshots and killing in one or two blows with her warbow, and taking the horses out from underneath any opponent cavalry is easy as cake.

No, you're probably right. Who in heck wants to retrograde from longbow/warbow to a stick-and-string just to find that out, though?

Well, longbow is sure powerful, but technically inferiour to warbow, therefore it takes more str to draw it, and it's slower, logically.
Also it's big and bulky to carry around. I'd restrict using it on a horce, but Armagan objected cause he loves longbows for some reason.
Cannot fight with this .
