"Corupted or cracked"...

Users who are viewing this thread

Recently i reinstalled my M&B game willing to play some mods but i came across with a strange problem ..

I reinstalled my M&B game...
I installed a mod (i seperatetly installed two diferent mods to see if this was the mods problem).
I played for few hours..
I closed the pc ...
When i restart the pc the next day and tried to launch M&B a message pop up
"This file is corupted or cracked and wont play"...
I redone all the previus steps and launched the game and played...
I restarted my pc and the game played nicely...
I beleived that the problem was solved untill it came up again!!!
My only choice was to uninstall the game...

Had anyone that kind of problem..???
Btw i thaught that something would be wrong with the disk...
So i downloaded the game from the official taleworlds server2 and did the same steps...
The result was the same!

Can some one sugest me something?

PS:I use deep freeze to keep up viruses and everytime i played the game(native) the game asked
me to rewrite the serial code...but after that there was no actuall problem of the game back then.

Have you tried cutting off the internet and then disabling Deep Freeze, then running the game?

You get a Themida message saying: File corrupted. This file may have been cracked or corrupted by a virus and will no longer work again.  something like that?

a format will help if you are willing to that, but save all the stuff that you or people who are using the computer have.

Yes that is the message...
Deep freeze is suposed to erasse any virus everytime pc restarts...
I istalled my game to a friend's pc to see what will happen...
The same result...... :???:

does your error say. file corrupted this program has been manipulated or maybe its been infect by a virus or cracked. this file wont work anymore

The piracy protection system that Mount&Blade uses is sometimes mistaken for a virus by certain virus scanners. This is because it protects the files from alteration by a crack in a way similar to how some viruses operate. Most virus scanners fixed that problem a long time ago, but some smaller, less professional ones haven't done so yet and experience problems with it.

Uninstalling the program and using a better Anti-virus like AVG or Avast will fix the problem.

Edit:
Deep Freeze is not a standard Anti-Virus program. It basically deletes any major changes to the registry when you reboot. It's designed for work computers that don't have programs updated or installed regularly. I don't know how you ended up with it installed on your computer, but it's completely inappropriate for a home computer and will only break registry information for new games or programs you install. Uninstall it and download a standard Anti-Virus program instead.
