Corrupted save...(seems like)

I can no longer restore my main character. I'm running the latest version on Windows XP. I get an assertion error (trying to read more characters than a string contains, it seems) in file rplstring.cpp.

Should I email the save game somewhere? I can open every other game just fine, and start a new one. Just that one seems to be lost. Reinstalling the program did not help.

You should email the save to Armagan. The email address should be on the website.

I checked the savegame. It seems that it has been corrupted after a certain point.

I have made file saving more robust in the next version. Hopefully that will help with such problems.

Today the game crashed twice while switching to the battle-map (as discussed in another thread) and both times my savegame was corrupted (assertion failed).

Argh, now it crashed again at the end of a tournament, corrupting the save again.

Hours of playing for nothing...

I hope you can fix this bug.

Do you have other programs running in the background when you play? If you do, try turning off everything thats not absolutely necessary, at least msn messenger, getright and some virus guards seem to cause random crashing in those situations.
