Corrupted save data needs fix

I raided a village, several counts came as backup. I beat the first one. Then the second i didn't want to deal with so i get defeated by him, i decide to play something else. When i came back i saw a burnt village for a split second then game closed because of error. 500+ days i played on that character and i refuse to start a new as the beginning is hell incarnate. I read that there is a default backup save on pc, how do i access this on ps4? I tried to get save files over to pc, only thing there is a .bin file and the save file itself. I'm holding on to the save for now but these game breakers need to fixed. Will my save file be playable as of the next patch?

We got 3-4 more reports like this for PS4 and checking it. We couldn't reproduce it yet but don't delete the save. I'm not sure what the problem is about but we might be able to fix old savegames also.

I just had my second campaign get the corrupted save Error, major sadness.  I love this game but I don't think I can go back to level 1 a third time...

Both times it happened my faction was really starting to get somewhere, controlling 60% or so of the land.

Yeah I started over.  My third campaign also went the way of the corrupted save.  I had hoped cleaning up my HD and/or a patch would fix the problem.

About 5-6 hours of gameplay before the save corrupts, enemy voices become really low in pitch.  Weird and creepy.  The other commonality is there are massive declarations of treason, about one every two hours in game world time.  Hope that helps.
