Corrupted save (CE-33108-5)

Hi everyone,

This is the second time it happens, after I have tried redownloading and reinstalling the game. Around year 1260, the autosave crashes, and whatever you do with your save file, it is dead, your game is ruined.

I have read here that I am not the only ps4 user in that situation, I have reported the error code both times, and yet I do not feel like anything is going to happen soon. It's a shame that such a gem doesn't get the attention it deserves.

I'm not bashing Taleworlds, they did an amazing job with this game when it came out on pc years ago. I'm just a bit tired of the game industry using players as beta testers, I feel like the idea here was to throw the game at the console community to see how they'd react while making some money for bannerlord at the same time.

Still, Taleworlds, you made one of the best game I've ever played. You just didn't need to rip me and the console community off with that console version.

I agree with all that... I am currently on my fourth playthrough on PS4, with all three prior saves getting corrupted.

I'm an adaptive guy, and I love the game.  So in this playthrough I am telling myself the world ends after 1300 days or however long it takes to corrupt.  It has made for a campaign where I am focused on obtaining results, and no longer can afford to sit in castles days at a time training troops.  I am about 500-600 days in and went as a Nord vassal this time.  We control about half the map with the Khergits and Sassanids as our main rivals, Swadians are toast and the Vaegirs have one town and one castle.

I may be able to finish the game prior to corruption but it's gonna be tough.

Still holding out slight hopes the patch comes before the End of Days

Same problem here too. Around 1200 days in, out of nowhere, autosave stops working and I find out the save has been corrupted. It's a shame cause I was finally starting to get somewhere with my own kingdom at that point.

I'm sure there'll be a patch eventually since the game is obviously supposed to be beatable. The only question is if it's coming soon.

Hey, the patch is just out, can you guys please test it with your savegames if you're still able to open them? Saving will still fail on the same slot but you can use the "Save As' option and copy your save to another slot and continue from there. You can delete the old slot afterwards. The problem was caused by me thinking the savegames won't be bigger than 10 MB and setting the size to that. Savegame sizes can affect the saving time so I wanted to make it smallest as possible but apparently it wasn't a very smart decision After ~1200 days saves are starting to not fit that 10 MB limit. Anyway, the problem is 99% resolved but it would be great to have confirmation from other people too.

The file that is corrupted is done. It wont restart or anything. Might just have to delete all corrupted files and then start a new game with a fresh clean file.

You can check the cloud saves if you have PS Plus account, they're probably in the last working state.

Ok, I've downloaded and installed the update, and I have managed to retrieve my last game (using the save as option as you said), so a big thanks for that.

Problem is, autosaving now takes forever, like somewhere around 9 seconds every time, which makes the game unplayable.

The solution is pretty straightforward as you can now disable autosave and just save manually when you quit the game, but in case you guys needed some feedback, autosave is still a problem  (ps4).

Anyway, congrats on listening to the community, that's a rather rare thing these days and it needs to be pointed out

That's very good to hear, thanks. I agree that saving takes too much time but this is mostly because of the increased file size. We can try to find other workarounds in future patches.

With the slow saves I have found two things that helped.  Delete some stuff off the HD and clear up some extra space.  The second thing is that when the PS4 is connected to the internet, the saves are really slow.  So turning off my router and restarting the PS4 took the save times down from 10 seconds to 2-3 seconds.
