Same issue here, the hotfix patch seems to be the culprit. Problem only started occurring after it was applied for me.

The issue with me is that I can't save at all. I tried save, save as, save and exit and nothing. No saved game. I checked the folder for saved games files and is empty. Frustrating.....
Same issue, saved before a fight, autosave saved afterwards. After that i exited the Game without Saving. When i tried to load back into it, the loadingscreen freezed and the game crashed. I have no idea what caused it or how to prevent it. So same issue as you guys have. Interesting bug.
yep, have this bug happened to me. I used old versions of saves from backup (i use yandex's cloud for all my "Documents" folder), and this worked. But when i save and then trying to load, game crashes. btw i use different save slots, but game crashes with all of them. For me its definitely unplayable at this moment.
upd. have to say it started to happen after 1.0.1 patch, and this crash is not binded to any specific event in the game.

Last night when i quit the game and went to sleep it was before the e1.0.1 patch. When i got back on this morning i saw the patch and that when loading the game it asked about the modules, so i said yes and made 2 new save files called PostPatch just in case. Now 6 hours later or so they do not load anymore, i get crash to desktop " the application has failed...." popup.
My older saves pre-patch still load fine, its only the ones i made post patch that are "corrupted" but i wasn't really doing anything except battles andat the moment of my last save was right before i went to siege.
Now i am unsure if i should wait for hopefully a fix because i'm not sure if maybe my older saves might get corrupted aswell if i continue playing on them?
I tried deleting the auto_save file, deleting the CN file in languages, checking integrity, going back to e1.0.0 but nothing seems to work.

Bad luck for me either. Yesterday's saves works fine, but i lost 4 hours of today's walkthrough in 1.0.1. For me it occured after battle or talking to lord. But I tried to work with fine saves, but thing is - I downpatched to 1.0.0 and load save from 1.0.0 and after playing about 1 hour - got corrupted save, on 1.0.0. Strange...

hmm, it seems like all the saves that were made pre patch 1.0 .1 works where as if i continue with these saves into 1.01 It crashes...
edit: it might be the loaded "bad seraider camps" that is causing the comotion, or someother patched bug that you already have in your save. I've seen this in other games before, where the patched version is trying to compute with your old files but can't becouse they are either removed or patched in a way that they can't be loaded.
also of topic:what is this with all the warband nobels for your profile and why did I become a lady, asuming my gender ? :O

e:however you might want to save it on a external slot in case they fix it in the near future. I have 30 hours on my sp and had the same issue.
