Convincing Mercenaries to Switch Factions During War Seems Broken

Summary:

I was at war with the Khuzaits as the Southern Empire and the Hidden Hand was working for the Khuzaits. I tried to convince them to join my faction the same way that I would with another lord and when they accepted my proposal they didn't just switch over to being mercenaries for the Southern Empire like I expected but actually joined the Southern Empire as a clan. When we took Baltakhand they were voted to be the owner of the fief and they promptly left the kingdom with their new town (I thought it was pretty funny that they managed to get the one city with the word "hand" in the name). I'm not entirely sure but I'm guessing that convincing a mercenary company to join your faction is not supposed to work that way. It would make a lot more sense if they just joined your empire as a mercenary company.

How to reproduce:

Convince a mercenary company leader to join your faction while you are at war with the faction they work for.
