Converting Prisoners Through Religion (Leadership)

I noticed that when you create a character you can choose a former priest and that made me think - what if players had the ability to convert captured "units" into the faithful? It could be implemented in the talk dialogue as an option.

How you'd implement success / failure rate could be based on your leadership skill and the level of the unit - for example a peasant or farmer would be easy while a knight would require a highest level.

I don't think it's beyond the scope of the game's historical setting.

Interesting yeah, but in the end not exactly viable...at highest level, all you would do is go around converting anything you see...

Maybe if it was a one-time thing with a % chance of success attached behind it, then it'd be quite interesting to have...

If anyone here played the Heroes of Might and Magic series, they might recall how the "diplomacy" skill worked there...

Yeah a one time shot would be fine. and it could even be checked against prisoner management and leadership for that matter. You don't make it something that is easy to do without a lot of work in skill building and you could even randomize the result - maybe you'd only convert some of the stack, other times you'd get the whole group.

How about an "execute prisoners" option? That way, if I'm being chased by bandits and I have 10 bandit prisoners, I can execute them brutally and hopefully my pursuers will get the idea and run away. It might be handy when trying to escape a stronger party.

While i don't know what kind of affect that could have on gameplay, it sounds like it would be easy to do - since you have an option to let them go, why couldn't you have an option to execute them (it would do basically the same thing - i.e. release the prisoners from your care)
