Resolved Conversation loop after convincing enemy lord to join my kingdom

Summary:
An enemy lord came to attack me. I convinced him to join my kingdom using conversation and 1 million gold. Now he keeps initiating conversations with me in a loop that I can't get out of.
How to Reproduce:
Get attacked by a more powerful enemy lord. Avoid battle by successfully convincing him to join your kingdom.
