contributing graphics?

Hi I was wondering if the development team would like any 3d graphics produced for the game? I've got lots of experience with 3dsmax, maya, photoshop etc and I'm happy to contribute.

The game is brilliant fun, but I feel I could snazz up the graphics a little - I could design some medieval buildings/castles etc - all the boring stuff if that'd help? I reckon the textures could be snazzed up a little in-town.

- no charge at all, I just like to see good games get all the help they can!

i am sure they would like any help , btw they are using blender, i think you should make something and send it to armagan some city design as a demo  , i believe they would use it

sorry, I'm an animator, not a webdesigner!

actually, because most on my work is inhouse I doubt I'd be able to publish it.

Tell me what you need added/improved and I'll let you see what I can do!

alphabeta77 you could make some screenshots of youre work, so he can see how good youre are at youre work.
You could put those screenshots at: http://www.imageshack.us/

well the most related stuff I've done is this sorta thing:

But as I have no idea about texture size limits, polycount limits,
realtime engine capabilities etc of this game, it's pretty irrelevant.

Normally I'd get a brief - eg house 400 polys, 512x512 textures,
engine limits - blob shadows, specular disabled etc... then I can
produce something that really shows what I can do!

As I've said, most of my work is inhouse, so I really can't start flinging
pics, models, maps around as it's not 'technically' my work - it's
owned by my company...

I've done far higher poly count work for intro-style movies, but I imagine
it's low poly work you're looking for?

Anyway, it's only an offer - I'm happy to model away and you can include/exclude what you want - I just think you've hit a brilliant game
mechanic that works wonderfully well and I'd hate for it to be reviewed as a 'great game with average graphics'. I'd like it to get the place it deserves, you've clearly put a lot of work in - and you've got plenty more to do too - and if I can help you remove some of the mundane modelling tasks -

eg maybe it'd be nice to have 50 different types of shield design, but who's gonna texture/model them,

maybe it'd be nice to have different building designs for the different factions, but that's doubling your workload,

maybe it'd be nice to add bridges, nicer trees, grass, walls, houses, to the map (or somewhere for poor archers to hide from those damn horse lancers! )

There's incredible potential in this game... keep it up!

Sweet work!

I have some work similar to that done in Maya, but that was awhile ago..

I forsook the 3D for graphic design instead.

*sigh*

Hey, cool man, nice models+tex!

I could contribute some weapon/prop models as well, i work with 3D Max.

You can see some of my latest work here (not much atm, but thats all i've got uploaded so far):

Those models make me weep in envy.

I need to practice, I can't even texture

heh! well you'll certainly see them soonish! I'm starting for real in three weeks -ish, so hopefully you'll start seeing things then

- Armagan does a brilliant job of updating the game regularly - so I can't vouch that he won't have updated by then (isn't is strange that it takes a company like EA months and months to update anything and yet a two person team can do it so much quicker?)

As for the 'fineness' I'll leave that up to you - I'll certainly try my best! - I'll also aim to keep you all posted with 'in progress' pics to criticise and berate - I always find that works best!

I'm looking to make fairly modular buildings so you can have real variety in the game - ie basic models that you can clip together in different ways to vary things...

It's certainly a very exciting project!

Now go and kill some Swadians until then...
