I think we should just make one thread where everyone guesses the release date and the winner (person closest to true release date when its announced) gets a prize. That way people focus on that thread instead of making new ones like this.

This actually sounded like a great idea, reason enough for me to hijack it.  :iamamoron:

Rules

- The guess refers to the date of full release (not the beta)
- You must only make one guess
- You are not allowed to change your guess
- Taleworlds-members and associates are excluded from this contest
- Guesses made after a certain point, based upon the information available regarding the release and announced here as soon as seen fit, will be subject to invalidation. Be quick = be safe.
- Guesses must follow the following template:

Code:
[b][u]My guess:[/u]  DD/MM/YYYY[/b]
[b]Reasoning:[/b]
[b]Persons I would like to thank:[/b]

The organiser's decision is final; there is no recourse to legal action and no guarantee that any of the prizes mentioned below can be supplied!

Prizes will be announced here lately!

Whoever guesses the closest, I will buy them a copy of Bannerlord. I will pm to put this in the op.

^^ Thank you very much to Lawrence!

We've agreed that in case of multiple persons winning with guesses similiarly fitting the release date, the member who posted his guess first shall receive the key. Therefore: Be quick to make your guess!

Wasnt this thread a joke that no one should take it seriusly?

My guess:  20/03/2020
Reasoning:  In gamescom there will be multiplayer build for normal players and sp for press (Can't find source, but i remember callum said somethink like that)
Persons I would like to thank: My uncle who bought me Mount and Blade thinking it was Call of Duty.

Sounds fun, I'll see if I really have luck or not : (I am considering myself lucky if it is before, or if I happen to be right, unlucky if it is after...)

My guess is the end of 2020 : I'll say the 10th of December 2020 (10/12/2020)

Prizes listed in OP kids

My guess:  7/9/2020 - September 7th, 2020 = Bannerlord kids.
Reasoning: Feeling lucky?
Persons I would like to thank: Myself for coming up with this thread idea

My guess:  DD/MM/YYYY 18/04/2020
Reasoning: With the beta being announced and gamescom coming, this guess is as good as anybodys...
Persons I would like to thank: Nobody.

You know I am always up for a silly pointless post!

My guess:  03/30/2020
Reasoning: That is the 10 year anniversary of Warband!
Persons I would like to thank: I have so many people to thank for this. Okay, first off, my Warband saved games, because I couldn't have done it without them. Thank you. Let's give Callum a round of applause for entertaining today and every day, because this is a lot harder than it looks. And also because of Armagan too. So, finally, I wanna thank Taleworlds, because they gave me this game and I feel Taleworlds in this Chili's tonight.

My guess:  27/09/2019
Reasoning: The 16th-19th of September this year marks the 10th anniversary of the M&B franchise. On an advertising and commercial level it would be interesting: First, announce release date on the Gamescom2019 with a gameplay video that turbo injects the hype again and give access to the open beta until the end of the first half of September. Second, possibility of acquiring the franchise pack (M&B + M&B:Warband) will be promoted during the month of September (from the 16th-19th to the 27th) for free celebrating this anniversary.  Third, massive sales starting from the Friday 27th ( Announced on 27 Sept. 2012).

Persons I would like to thank: To developers who are in the shadows and who have felt the pressure for so many years. I hope™ the wait was worth it for all of us and that in the end we get a good product.

My guess (DD/MM/YYYY): 25.07.2020
Reasoning: That's one day after the end of the summer semester. After summer semester 2020 I will have achieved my M.A., inshallah. If this is going to be the case, it means that I have waited for Bannerlord during whole academic career. Bannerlord was announced in 2012 and I've made my Abitur (high school degree) in 2015. I made my B.A. last summer. There is also an other reason. If it comes out let's say 20.04.2020 (beginning of the summer semester) I will much likely f*ck up my M.A. thesis, because I will play Bannerlord the whole day. So I just hope that this won't be the case.
Persons I would like to thank: My boy Terco, because his humorous, cynical posts are the only loom of light in this endless void of disappointment, meaningless hope and waiting.

My guess:  23/09/2020
Reasoning: September because Gaming companies love realeasing games in times like beginning of school and university, that's when young people have the most free time to play, obsviously.
2020 because... come on, it is taking too long. We know it isn't going to be released this year so it got to be next year.
23 because it's a wednesday and it's almost November, simple.
Persons I would like to thank: My parents, for their financial support that allways allowed me to play games like this.

My guess: 12/02/2021
Reasoning: The voices in my head told me.
Persons I would like to thank:  The voices in my head.

My guess: 21/10/2020 at exactly 9:15 AM
Reasoning: Figured out by calculating the integral of sec y dy from zero to one-sixth of pi eu log to base e of the square root of three times the sixty-fourth power of i divided by the number of complaints about Bannerlord's development time as of May 21 2016 and multiplied by the second favourite cousin of Euler's number to the power of the average number of raindrops in a lightning storm in Palermo and then printing out the resulting number on three pieces of paper and sending each one to be stared out by an old blind person for twenty minutes and then getting said blind person to tell their least favourite nephew to write down the number before burning the piece of papers in front of an altar dedicated to Mount & Blade while trying to chant "Please give me butter" in Esperanto backwards, then getting said piece of papers from their nephews and finding someone on Fiverr to translate them into a random language, and then find another person to translate them into another random language and repeat the same process until they have all been translated seven times, find the average of those three numbers before writing the number down on a stone tablet and shoving a lightning rod onto said tablet and waiting for the tablet to be struck exactly nine times by lightning, then smashing the tablet with a bust of Jack the Ripper into at least four pieces but no more than twelve and dividing the number on the largest piece of the smashed tablet by the coordinates of the final resting place of Amilia Earhart and then finally adding the amount of pebbles and rocks on top of Mount Nemrut and then you get your answer in a number of seconds since the fall of Akkadian Empire until Bannerlord will be realised.
That, or it could just be a random guess.
Persons I would like to thank: Three blind people and their least favourite nephews, and a very confused tour guide.

My guess:  15.11.2020
Reasoning: It was my first guess, when I tried to calculate the possible outcomes in my brain. I also think I should stick with that guess: https://steamcommunity.com/app/261550/discussions/7/1735468693697157198/
Persons I would like to thank: I would like to thank Frank Schätzing for writing good books.

And so it was, that upon the fifth day of the seventh month of the ninth year, the gift was handed from the lord to the plebeian. And the plebeian cheered, unwittingly, as it clenched its mental teeth around the gift and suckled from its joy. And the world spun, and the plebeian suckled. And the world spun on. And one day the plebeian looked up and away from its gift. It saw that the world had spun so far that it was beyond recognition. So the plebeian wrote words of warning on the shores of humanity. "Thou shall not look upon the gift for too long, or the gift will make you look away from that which matters the most." And the warning was never heeded.
