Hallo. I think I remembered seeing an old topic that was similar to this, but it's had it's run and therefore, in my eyes, does not deserve a resurrection. (I also couldn't find it, but I didn't exactly search hard or anything.) I know that there is a multitude of screenshot threads around the forum, but none of them are really about judging the screenshots, so I figure this is unique enough not to be considered spam, amirite?

All this is is a sort of unofficial contest, judged by the general populace on who has the best overall screenshot. Any and all screenshots are welcome, of any mod, but, unphotoshopped would be better, for sake of a fair competition. If it's funny, epic, beautiful, whatever, post it here, and if you see something you like, say so. Eventually, I'll look and see who's pic got the most "votes" and that picture will be the winner.

I have a slight feeling atolest may be the one to take the cake here, but I guess I'll post some of mine for kicks:
Funnyish ones:

Rename this thread to "atolest post screenshots here". Quite honestly, that's all what we want to see

However, I shall humour you with some of my, MEDIOCRE screenshots!
(And not post any of FoO or RoY!)

Gangs of that one Scottish city mod.

YO MEAN LOSE?

Serevitor or Eumophuls(sp?) should join fast for competition.

Atolest's settings are nice, but I still think that they're a bit too... "blurry" or.. "smeared-with-butter" for me to vote for them.
I agree that a poll is a good idea, though it would be laborious to maintain.

I would appreciate some HDR submittals, with unique settings.

Once I get more than five contestants I'll put up teh poll. Way I figure it I'm on TW long enough to be able to maintain the poll adequately enough.

that is the dept of field,it's a little strange for many peoples but it really looks good ingame

Some of mine, a little blurry. A bit too much bloom in the sky, but still looks good.

Atolest, that may be depth-of-field, but if so, it needs to be reworked. It's simply too unfocused at too small a distance. Additionally, it seems that all "depths" are of seemingly equal "blur". I would recommend that you fiddle with the settings so that you get something that more accurately portrays real life. As in, eyes in real life can focus on a wide range. Attempting to simulate this "depth-of-field" in the game is all well and good, but unless you can differentiate one plane of distance from the others by making it in focus, and the other planes less focused the "further" you get from that plane (either closer to you or farther), it will neither a proper representation of the concept, nor a boon to the game.

They're decent, and serve their purpose. I'd say that it's hard to judge a screenshot, simply because there is no clear answer as to whether it is a work of art or a showcase of the game's features or modifications. That said, using graphical enhancements, does that count as part of the screenshot or not?
There are many questions to be asked whilst judging the quality of screenshots.

In my opinion, using graphical enhancement does add to a screenshot, and should be included in the judging as such. I do like your use of the "Shiny Metal" mod (though I forget its proper name) combined with a watered down (read: IMO better) version of Atolest's HDR settings. I feel that it adds a decent atmosphere to the shot.

Some of them are quite well done, capturing the action perfectly, (such as those showcasing the cavalry) whilst others are simply decent.

Looking at some of the graphically enhanced pictures, I realized that I don't need my glasses to see the world all blurred and smeared at the occasional sidings. It makes me wonder if people would use a setting where residue imprint of finger print is superimposed onto the lens; I bet you can make a lot of money off of that.

I almost laughed when I saw that shiny armour.  Points for pretty shiny things, minus points for looking a little too absurd and unreal (unless this is an example of medieval Show 'n Shine).  This, of course, is my personal taste- all the other ones are simply astounding.

My "motionblur" is up a bit too high, I'll probably set it to 3 instead of the current 40 like atolests

And Lord Brygann, that armour is pretty damn shiny without HDR/bloom activated. It's actually the same, it's just that the non-shiny party are darker.

Thanks for the feedback(minor) too guys, going to turn down reflection and chrome power, as well as uberbloom.
