Constant Wars & Difficulty with Peace?

So, a while back I renounced my oath to the Rhodoks and started my own kingdom with Dhirim, Reindi Castle, and some other one, (almerra, maybe?) Anyway, my kingdom now looks like this:

I went through a lot of wars to get that land, but I haven't started any of them. It's weird, but I've been continuously at war since the beginning of my kingdom, except for one small intermission. The other factions always declare war on me. Right now I'm at war with 3 different kingdoms. And for some reason, the other kings have lots of trouble finding peace. Even if I take half of their territory, and they're in my prison, they'll demand some ridiculous ransom. I can handle the wars, but my lords' parties are starting to shrink from wear and tear, and my character needs to get married. A week or two to replenish my troops and manage my kingdom would be nice.

I have 99 right to rule and 105 honor. Any ideas to make the other monarchs less bloodthirsty?

Perhaps check your difficulty settings, or try to get high relations with the kings, maybe also a guildmaster will give you a quest to make two lords settle there differences and the war will end.

You're situated in the middle of Calradia, right in the path of everyone's ambitions. Generally, if you border a nation, they'll declare war on you, unless you're FAR stronger than them. Best way to broker a peace treaty is to blitz a few castles and then call for peace. Hope this helps!

Your starting point is really unfortunate.  It often happens like that if you don't know what you are doing, because contested territories often change hands and are poorly defended as a result.

Let's see:

Knudar Castle - Swadia vs. Nords.
Reindi Castle, Rindyar Castle - Swadia vs. Khergits.
Almerra Castle, Unuzdaq Castle - Rhodoks vs. Sarranids.
Tilbault Castle - Vaegirs vs. Swadia.

Dhirim - Everybody!

Any of the contesting kingdoms might strike a fancy to take it back.

And you didn't say it, but judging from your description you are using Diplomacy.  At least  AI behaves like you would,  In case you do, don't ever ask for peace.  Diplomacy is a bit buggy (or challenging, however you like to look at it) and asking for peace doesn't work very well since version 4.2 and up.  Just take their territory and they will eventually ask for peace themselves.

I would suggest a blitz tactic focusing against one faction.  Go on an offensive campaign and don't bother putting any extra defender in the garrisons you grab, just leave what's offered by default.  By the time the AI reacts and tries to take back the first fief you'll be besieging and taking a third or forth fief.  Then you can retake that one place and continue your rampage.  Only stop your offensive if one of your main holdings is in danger.

The AI should offer peace fairly quickly.  If they don't either another one will declare war on them giving you some rest, or you'll reduce their influence so much that they won't be much of a nuisance.
Then when you're at war against only one I would suggest sticking to it until they are eliminated.

I usually take that start for my Native games, as Dhirim usually has the highest prosperity. I've found that attacking the Khergits can be a good way of solidifying your land base, as they tend to be weakened by Sarranid/Vaegir attacks as far into the game as you are.
