Resolved Constant stuttering

Summary: The game randomly stutters every few seconds. Makes it infuriating and borderline unplayable.

If it's any easier for you - I'm using a Lenovo Legion Y540 laptop (model 81Q4002FSC to be exact)

I haven't played the game since release pretty much (clocked in a hundred or so hours in the first 1-2 weeks, massive Warband fan) and I wanted to get back into it now but it's just impossible to enjoy the game.

Resolved.

Turns out it might have been thermal throttling. Limiting my CPU lowers my overall FPS but does stop the freezes so IMO it's a worth trade-off.

Yeah, usually game performance on laptops are due to throttling for battery saving or thermals.
