Console Update

Is there any timeline, status, or plan of action for the 1.2 patch to come to console? I understand that at this point, players are just as tired asking this question, as players are answering with “ Be patient..soon..just wait”. I understand that they want to take their time and make sure it’s bug free before release and I would rather them do so, but Taleworlds PLEASE have some transparency about the process. Although a really cool addition, I honestly don’t care to much about the cheats. All of my campaigns have been halted or become to impossibly boring when kingdoms with no fiefs survive indefinitely. It makes the game unplayable and the update would fix that easy. I feel left behind as a console player without a fix to the game or to have any idea about when it may arrive. It seems PC players having the beta branch and mods available could care less, but a substantial amount of good paying customers would like an idea of when we can use the product we paid for. I love this game and series but I can’t help but be frustrated.

They have been dodging Console players for almost 2 months honestly, and when they do reply it’s like one of there NPC’s taking control as we get the same answer over and over again. I personally want the update for the cheat as I personally don’t have the amount of time to use on one game alone for however many hours to grind. I’m every platform when it comes to your guys socials there the comments underneath your guys post are just Console users asking where the update is as you can clearly see that your console fanbase is asking for transparency but all you do is ignore. There’s no release date no probabilities of when the update might finish. All you guys have done is tell us what the issues was and by assumption because you guys don’t answer so sadly I have to go by assumption is that you guys Set the issues of what’s wrong with console then it seems none of the issues have been resolved. Your console player fanbase is dropping especially with the games that are coming out, like your PS5 players have Spider-Man around the corner and starfield just released on Xbox Series X for gamepass making it free for players that have the subscription. There’s also already good games that are way better alternatives like Skyrim that has a mod support system. This isn’t on a personal bases as I love your guys games . I’ve played warband on pc before great game yet it was never completely supported by console as it seems like you guys have done this before making it look like a money grabs from console players as you constantly update the game over and over. Like you guys are great with making games managing and you guys mindset on where to take them leaves many fans astray. So that being said your Greed is slowly turning into your downside and I sadly have to make assumptions that I hope aren’t real because you guys aren’t transparent.

Please acknowledge the fact, I don’t want to continue with bitter towards Taleworlds because I love your guys games just show a little transparency with 0 Question dodging.

1.2 is in beta. Console does not get beta patches, probably at least in part due to how updating games for consoles works behind the scenes.

You will have to wait for it to become the main version at some point. When is that? We don't know, TaleWorlds is bad with time and worse at communicating about it. Pretty much always has been.

transparency about the process
Our release process comes down to the following:
  • Complete required content for a release
  • Pass base line internal check
  • Release to beta
  • Resolve issues that are already known or identified at this point internally / by the community
  • Complete other cross-platform release requirements (localization, release check, certification)
  • Full cross-platform release to "Live"
With 1.2.x we opted for an earlier beta release as that allows us to collect and respond to a broader range of community feedback rather than just "critical" items (think balance tweaks VS. crash fixes). Currently, we still have outstanding known issues we want to resolve - and will likely take further steps on the identification front as well (f.e. MP "test" events with the community). In other words, the release to live (including consoles) may appear to take a longer time than usual - but most of that (currently) comes down to an earlier "public" release. Personally, I hope we will continue to go for a comparatively earlier beta release.

if this is the case could you maybe give an estimate of when it may release if the time is consistent with you guys working on the bugs and etc of course with not the exact date but a probability Honestly somewhat of a educated guess?

Are you still in the beta / resolving issues phase?

Can y'all just do a small update and release the console cheats? I think this is the main thing we want because most of us veteran players are getting board with the early game grind. After about 4 play throughs it gets old.

It’s legitimately all I’ve been waiting for since the release of Bannerlord. And the lack of transparency on an ETA really dampens the excitement I once had for this game.

Yeah cheats was all I ever wanted on bannerlord and on warband and with 1.2 they really need to be held accountable for this **** and at least apologize, it's been over 2 months and we've been given no info on an ETA it could even be in 2024 at this point and knowing taleworlds it wouldn't surprise me.

Yeah I've pretty much moved on to Starfied

Yeah most players especially on console are bailing, like I don't understand why taleworlds cant at least give us an update on whether it's gonna take another 2 months or if it's right around the corner

I'm just as frustrated (console player here) but at the end of the day if they really are looking to still identify bugs then we can't expect them to give us a timeline just yet. They don't know what they don't know, and if they're still in the process of finding bugs, they don't know how much time will be needed to resolve whatever they're still looking for.

I appreciate this note, man. I'm certainly frustrated but this helps me understand the position you all are in if you're still identifying potential issues. Quality is the most important thing. Just hope you guys can give us a timeline once you have a sense of the remaining scope of work
