they had soviet pilots in Korea but I have not heard anything about Soviet pilots in Vietnam - if that was the case it sure is news to me - a couple of east germans - only a handfull acted as trainers and advisors in army matters during the fight against the french (vietminh) but they got orders from the top in Eastgermany to get the hell out because Soviet had been talking in big letters with them.....anyway dont quote me on it since its something that I saw in a German TV-docu back in...the mid 1990's?
