I found that house archers and nord infantry were an almost unbeatable mix up.  I had trouble only when fighting against kerghit even more so because of they're vasts numbers.
 
In all honesty, this is probably my favorite mod since Lords of War way back in... well whatever version it was in. 

I went around recruiting nothing but nords and swadians, having superior cavalry and infantry gave me a brutal edge against anyone army.  I attacked the dark knights' castle with ~150 troops and took only a handful of losses (5 dead, 14 wounded).  Now that my sister joined, I've got an army twice the size of what I had and and castle of my own.  Probably going to go after the Rhodocks since they are easy killings  :smile: then after the Nords, and finally either the Vaegirs or Swadians.  I'm not looking forward to the Khergits... will probably have to rethink my tactics.
 
Just a quick question but when im defending my castle all my guys just go down the ladders and attack. Which then gets them killed, how do I fix this?

position yourself at the top of the ladder or where the siege tower will come, and issue the "hold this position command".

I am talking about Ryinard Castle which has 2 ladders on opposite side and that will basically leave one ladder defense less so no cant do that
 
I love this mod but theres a problem when u start with the Artifact Axe and it upgrade you cant realy use it ever again because it completely disapiers and when u go in invitory it has an error and all this other crud

I have encountered the same problem. Once the artifact axe, Val Hallen, levels up the game crashes and and i get some error message about a missing mesh. That's really a shame since i love the mod otherwise.

The mesh is there, ... it's just a spelling mistake in the itemkinds1.txt

open itemkinds1.txt which is in the conquest mod folder and scroll to very bottom where the unique special weapons are and you'll see the val hallen. Notice there are x5 val hallen axes, ... each time the axe levels up it uses the next, improved axe. Hence there are five of them which all look the same and use the same mesh. Kt0 spelt the mesh name 'gimili_walking_axe' wrong on the last four which explains why the missing mesh error occured at the first level up.

  Anyway, with the spelling fixed it should look like this:
