Hello again all
I have difficulties to understand the effect of the skill called Tactics.
It says: "every two levels of this skill, increases starting battle advantage by 1"
What is "battle advantage"?
My character has Tactics lvl 1. I guess that I have to increase it to 2 in order to get the +1 battle advantage, right?
Thanks for help!

As far as I can tell, it means the balance of soldiers on the map will be in your favor.

With, say, 40 against 40, and 2 in tactics, you would perhaps get something like 21 or 22 of yours troops to appear on the battlefield and the enemy would get 19 or 18.. With greater tactics comes a greater difference and possibly counter enemy parties' tactics skill, too.

But I never actually counted how many troops I had with me so I have no idea to what extent it has effects if the enemy party outnumbers you to begin with, or if you outnumber them, etc.

Basically correct. However tactics isn't the sole contributor to battle advantage, the actual size of the relative parties is factored in.

In short, high tactics can even the odds if you're heavily outnumbered, or put the odds in your favour if equal (and even more so if you outnumber the enemy). Bear in mind that the effect is also dependent on the battle size slider. If there are only 30 troops total in the battle and you have the battlesize at 40 you won't see any effect.

Does tactics affect siege ladder results at all?  Or battles where you order your men in when too injured to fight personally?

Yup. To be honest, the advantage seems to play a bigger part in the autocalc than anything else. Not sure about sieges following the normal route though.

As the squire-type character starts with 1 in Tactics (which is useless as it starts to have an effect only after the 2nd point)
I thought that putting 1 more point in it couldnt hurt...
Havent noticed big differences so far though
...even in battles with reinforcements (max amount of soldiers on the map).

Check the advantage score. It still takes a fair bit to make any significant differences. Of course, if you're up against 150 Swadian crossbowmen, every little helps.

Well basically, if i had a character who is outnumbered, let's say 15 against 20, tactics wouldn't really help.
I mean, even if i had 10 in tactics, it would favor me advantage, if i had 0, i would win anyway.

If you have a high tactics score and get mugged by a superior force you might see your peasants killing a few Dark Knights if you choose the automatic battle calculater, I learned this from Calandale the Lord of Iltrode. If you are running away and choose the option "send your men in while you run away " or something like that tactics helps.
