This involves downloading things and my ISP.
I use a router with a built in modem, the Riger DB 108, have subscribed to a $30 plan for unlimited broadband (ADSL) access and a 1.0Mbps d/l speed.

I used to d/l things at about 50-60 kBps, currently though, I get 7 kBps, sometimes worse, following the manual causes even more trouble (i.e. no internet). So I was wondering, is there any way, short of murdering the company men and women or getting neighbouring Singapore to invade us with competence, to increase my d/l speeds?

I've done that for 3 weeks, at an hour or so a day, and sent some emails as well. Incompetence is the norm in Malaysian GLCs...

Sorry, can't help you then. I suppose you could go ahead and switch ISP, but the one you switch to might be even ****tier.
