Computer Freezing a lot lately... Memory issue? (need help again)

The lockup caused when starting a program is likely the hard drive searching for a file. I know the PlanetSide 2 launcher is a system hog, and grinds both my laptop and my desktop to a halt until it finishes scanning its files.

Likely but just so weird, it's launched from a brand new 1TB i got. Everything on my steam is now because i thought thats what was causing the lockups. So I have tried it on two diff hard drives. it has been happening on other games before that. Like Torchlight II after a certain general amount of playtime, or AOEII during a certain map after a certain amount.

Get this; lockup happens sooner in AOEII if I'm playing with more than one friend. Happens sooner as well if it's a map with a lot of water.
