Completely kill off main factions

How the claimant quest is going to work if designed by the current Dev team:

1. Open dialogue with NPC claiming to be the rightful heir to the throne and agree to do the mission.

2. Chase down and open dialogue with X number of other lords of the faction and either convince them or pay them [or duel them] to vote in favour of new heir, similar to the barter mechanic.

3. Vote takes place, new heir elected and previous leader vanishes from game.

4. 4000 denars pocketed.

Now it's perfect.

I know you're being sarcastic, but going through these steps for implementing/revoking kingdom policies and kicking clans out would unironically make the intra-kingdom politics much better.
Maybe for policies and maybe for kicking clans/letting clans join. But there would need to be more depth.

I would like if there was a period before faction decision like this where you could lobby other lords with the barter mechanic to sway their decision to your liking, rather than just a pop up out of nowhere where 99% of the faction already are voting one way. This would also be used for deciding on war/peace. 'Devious' lords would have a chance to accept your offer but refute at decision time. Also this more democratic governing would only apply to the empires and vlandia, adding even the littlest bit of diversity to the game's factions.

It would at least give player something else to spend their millions of denars on that they have in mind/late game.

But alas.

This would actually give a reason for feasts to exist.

Nah, War/Peace happens too often so having to talk to lords everytime for a war/peace declaration would be too tedious (their occurrence should get toned down). But having the option of discussing the terms of peace with the enemy Ruler as a King/Queen in the form of bartering would be good (unless maybe if they hate you, then they could just decline any form of discussion).

I think you meant Northern Empire and Battania (also maybe the Aserai?), which are likely male-only (I'm not sure on how much power women can have in Battania, as they are a really weird mishmash of different real life cultures from different eras) oligarchies. Afaik for the rest of the factions, Western Empire is a military dictatorship, Southern Empire is a straight up monarchy with primogeniture (oldest child gets the throne), Vlandia is presumably a monarchy with male-only primogeniture. I don't know about the hierarchy and succession in Sturgia or Khuzait. If they are based on the Kievan Rus and the Gokturks respectively, then the Sturgians would be following the Rota System (throne goes to the oldest living clan member) and Khuzaits would have a succession system where the authority and lands would be split equally amongst the sons after the ruler dies (is there a specific name of this kind of succession?).

Aye, exactly. Same point I made on another thread where instead of those dodgy cutscenes, I would prefer if nobles (and townsfolk) attended events such as weddings and deaths physically, where after the event you could talk to them just like feasts. They made it work with feasts in warband, there are nobles standing around the castles at times doing nothing, especially during Peace time, so they can gaslight all they want, it is possible, they just need to tone down the regularity of these events.

100%. Been a problem for so long and one of the most voiced frustrations with the game still it seems. Battles and seiges are fun, but lord or lord not only do they get boring fast, the immersion of the game gets destroyed when everyone is just in an infinite Royal Rumble where the game is hard coded that no one can win and everyone is still friends after it (because traits and relationships aren't utilised as they should be).

Sure 😅. Honestly I just pulled those two factions out of my bum. I don't really know the lore of the game as I haven't played it in a while, only redownloading it the other day, just to delete it again after a few hours to play Witcher 3 (never played it before but having a blast with it).
