I successfully helped Lady Osolla claim the Swadian throne, and to my shock, after getting the speech about how grateful she is to me, and how I'm her foremost vassal, I immediately get a message that another lord, with much lower renown (I have over 1000, while he has 365), has been made marshal. Is this a bug? I mean, after all that, I'm left with no power at all? That was the entire reason I did the quest in the first place -- to have some power without having to go off on my own and start my own kingdom. So, needless to say, I'm feeling like I've just wasted a lot of time here. I actually have less power than under King Harlus, as he at least made me the marshal. I assumed that if you completed the claimant quest, you'd end up as marshal and then some. But I get nothing; I'm just an ordinary vassal with no influence at all, despite having the highest renown of all the vassals, 0 controversy, over 70 relationship with her, not to mention being the one who put her in power. Is this really supposed to happen? It doesn't make any sense.
