Companions

Was wondering if there is any negative effect from using multiple companions. I currently have 8 all of which get along but besides the pain in the ass moving them up and down the party tab when I get new troops is there any downside, exp sharing for example?

they take up party space. the amount of different troops you can have is limited.

You spend more money on them to equip them (only if you want to).  They're a plus because with them you can upgrade skills that effect the entire party, while focusing on leader and personal skills with your own character.  Plus if you get captured they tough it out with out, at least for a little while.

Even if they do leave, you can eventually find them in a tavern, again.  Hard on their luck.  Again.
