so im trying to add more companions by being awesome
then i noticed there are already 88 companions :O:O:O
are they ready to be used? or do i have to finish them up?

EDIT: hahaha my bad...should hav checked first myself
love the conversations of them xD
 
88 companions?  where do you get that? there are currently only 22 usable and one of Those Wandering Claimants like Lady of Suno. I also thought that I could recruit my wife. Lady Sonedel to be my companion but it's not possible.

There are a large number of extra companions added within the mod's source that are disabled.  They were put in so it would be easy for someone else to add in their own custom companions without breaking a current save game.  You'd just need to come up with their dialog and activate them.
 
As Windyplains said, it's in the mod's source code. You need to activate them by editing the module system files. If you don't know what that is or you're not sure of you're doing I suggest you read up on creating/editing companions. There's a lot of documentation by now.

There's quite some editing yet to do. It's not really hard but it's a little tedious and you have to check a few things particularly in the module_dialogs.py file. Basically they were only added into the module_troops.py (troops.txt when compiled) to prevent save game breaking if you choose to activate them at some point, like Windyplains said.
 
Hi i tried to do that too. (adding companions)
But can not find them (the missing 66) in troops.txt. and the version of mod i downloaded does not have the .py files. (Floris Expanded Mod Pack 2.54) do you need some other (like source) version for enabeling them?
Isn't there an easier way (like existing submod / editing the txt files, i am good with txt files) to add the missing ones or to add some new "green" compagnions I would like to add some lvl-1 companions those seem to be the most usefulls.
maybe if terrorib would be kind to share his activated companions ... (i guess it fits in a few txt for troops.txt and the one keeping the dialogs)
