what happens to the equipment u give ur companions when they become one of ur vassels?

Before you make them a vassal, make damn sure that they are equipped well.

Or you will forever stab yourself.

(You can't re-gear them.)

cant even promote them ? they have + but they doesn't seem to be using it
also one of them taken prisoner in a city of the enemy and he never released yet :/

i think they ask for a ransom, if they don't try to speak to the city commander (usually a lord who's there) see if theres a option, if not, simply siege the damn place and kill them all

If you don't equip them, it's actually quite fine. After a small amount of time (I'd say a week or there bouts) they equip themselves.
They seem to favor the heraldic mail and a full helm. Also, if you equip them prior to making them your vassal, they keep what you equipped em with.

So if you changed their equipment before making em your vassal, you gotta equip em yourself.

I made this mistake with my first vassel being about level 12 with standard stuff i give really. About 42 armour on chest. But if id known i would of given her plate armour and leveled her alot more. I figured they would just assume lord stats. But ive desided its easyer to steal other lords and not use my companions who i use in battle because they own. Its like having 8 lords in my army.

My plan is to have the companions I like in my army but make the ones that fight those ones my vassals.

I had one half of the available companions in my party. They've been raised up to level 20-23 with a focus mainly on combat skills/stats. I've got very nice gear on them, and war horses or chargers.

My plan is to make my current companions into lords of my new faction, then collect the other half of the companions and keep them with me until I raise them up, then possibly make them into lords as well. I'll be sacrificing the party skills they add to, but it will give me 16 loyal lords who are beasts in a fight, and who I can trust not to stab me in the back.

Plus I like the idea of having a faction made up of lords/ladies who were not players in the petty Calradian squabbles. A fresh start for Caldradia  The only old lords I'll keep will be my wife's family (she is Minister).

So far Marnid and Ymira are the only ones I've turned into lords/ladies, each having their own castles stocked with elite defenders courtesy of me.

I have a problem.
I started my own kingdom after I finally managed to get married  and I conquered Wercheg. I kept the town for me and the villages I gave them to Baheshtur and Firentis. All good for now. When I took Alburq or whatever castle from the Nords I wasn't given the option not to give the castle to anyone so I can name one of my companions vassal and then give him the fief. So instead of 3 vassals I ended up with 2.

Anybody know how companions interact with other lords and eachothers when they are vassals :?:

Ive noticed the one companion i made a lord gives me +rep when i give feifs to those who dont have any or have little compared to others. Maybe mathew  is just a nice person tho..
