Companions disappearing after being taken prisoner

I was defeated and some of my companions were taken prisoners into a city, when the city falls they disappear from the game, its a bug that it says on some post that was gone

I was playing AD1257 when this happened and ruined my game

There is something I can do to take my companions back ? there is no savegame editor or any program I could use for editing the savegame ?

If it says "left the realm" it might mean they're gone forever. Otherwise, there's a chance they may show up again.

When I ask to a traveller for companions, it does not show up the heroes imprisoned

Companions usually wander the lands for a few weeks until they have been seen by a traveller again.

Means, that in native as well this happens. The travellers haven't seen them for a little while and then after another month they suddenly know where to find the companion.

If Othr didn't mess around with this, I don't expect he did so, they will be available again. All you have to do is to let time pass.

Holly ****, I trusted you and played for 2 weeks (relly playing not just waiting, it was fun), then got tired of waiting and searched a traveller, now my companions are safe yes !
