Companion Question - Lent Companion and Then Respective Faction War /Whats next?

Heyo again! I see this question a bit about companions, but wanted help in a way that seemed specific to this situation here.

So I lent my companion Ymira to a lord of the Nords, and shortly after like some weeks or so, our faction sought war after the Nords (And NEVER attacked them to add on that!). So, I "failed" the quest of the companion, and I fear Ymira has lost herself in this world and set out on a new journey. Is there any possible way to get here back, like she might appear in a tavern, or the original lord may still have her?

I heard I think that you could still ask that respective lord about them, though you'd have to find them on your own to remember who you your companion to. I honestly don't remember, which bgs me haha. Thanks for any input!

I had the same issue once in a previous savegame. I tried talking to the ransom broker to see if I could ransom my lost companion, but to no avail.

Then I tried talking to a traveller to find out where she is now. He answered with "I don't know where [Companion] is."

Finally, when both faction were at peace, I talked to the lord who took my companion for the quest, but I had no option of asking where my companion was.

Bah, I might have trouble here. Well, if this is the case, I will no doubt "beat that lord's ass" till I get my companion back, since I put the responsibility on them! Now if only I could be sure who...we'll, I'll just have to attack everyone then!

Typically if you don't look up the lord after a week, your companion comes back on their own after a while. She may have gained weight and may have lost her proper demeanor but you'll get her back.

Indeed, I've seen companions come back days BEFORE the lord was finished with them; the sly squirrels they are! Sadly it's been like a month or so without my Ymira the excellent, soooo I'm hoping in time, even if she's gotten fat and ugly, I can still claim her as a companion. Quick new post folks!

- Well, up until today, I still hadn't heard word from my companion Ymira, that is, until I decided to download the mod "Diplomacy" along with the "fief trading/improvements" tweak. No joke, she seriously walked up to my warband in the desert, and asked to join me again! I'm like whoa here, and I seriously smiled; I feel like I found a missing daughter or something haha!

I'm pretty dam sure this is due to the mod I downloaded, but it could just be pure coincidence, which seems pretty out there for me now. I'm just happy she's back now, and I hope this mod doesn't change to much with that.

Lemme ask now, has anyone has a similar experience like me here?
