Companion Led Party == Over-Recruiting Issue

Now that I have my own mini-Kingdom, I set up a secondary party for one of my companions. She keeps recruiting garbage followers which cause followers that I have given here (all the Tier IV & V) to leave the party.

Please DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO ACCEPT SOLDIERS/RECRUITS IN EXCESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO RETAIN THEM. You're really messing up my ability to take-down the empire as she keeps cycling her good troops for bad. Also, if you haven't done it, have them chose by unit strength.

Have seen this as well, it's rather annoying.

I suspect what's happening is that the AI companion is just trying to get party up to strength, but based on the wrong number. Not focusing on total numbers, but only the combat-ready troops. Then party goes over limit when recently-wounded units heal up and re-enter the ranks.

I dunno, I might be completely wrong that's what's happening. But hopefully it's that or something equally as simple, as it should then be simple to rectify as well.
 
I wonder if the other AI lords are doing this. Would partially explain why we see so many blobs of recruits.

AI lords seem to favor recruits. You can see who they hire when they enter towns. Often all recruits.
 
It's probably them converting prisoners to troops. I noticed shortly after my companion parties would engage larger stacks of looters/bandits they'd end up over their limit when they didn't suffer heavy losses.

I suspect they aren't actively recruiting from town in excess of their limits, but are set to take all prisoners/troops after combat (and convert all prisoners as soon as they're able, assuming this is a thing other parties can do).
