I had a look at the very first version of Gekokujo. Some of the armour in that version was very nice. Any idea on what happened to it all?

Bit of a waste of a good model.  A retexture would do good in order for it to fit with the overall aesthetic.
 
Hey guys! So I tried to redownload the 3.0 beta as well as the 3.0_beta_build_6 just in case. No good, the yukino****a armory (except date hara-ate armor) are still losing animation. Any Idea what's wrong?

Hi, I just looked at the armor picture from your previous post and it looks like the armor has a texture from another armor or item assigned to it, so it'll look warped and messed up like that.
I think this is a result from using that editor, i did similar things 6 years ago with results like that.
But if this still happens with a fresh install of Gekokujo then I have no idea what could cause it, I have yet to see a glitch like it in my game and my character is wearing a black Yukino****a-do, I've also seen Date retainers on the streets of Sendai wearing the Date retainer armor, no problem there either.
I only started playing this mod yesterday so I suppose weird things could still happen.

I do hope you can get this fixed.

Now that I've mentioned Sendai... it wasn't founded until 1600 - 1601, but hey it's no big deal or anything as this mod doesn't go for high historical accuracy, right?

I do use an editor even in this game but i did not do anything with any of the yukino****a armory, but i heed your advice and redownloaded it once more. nope still the same.
Forget what i said, I just found out I was right at my first reply. Direct 7 messed up my textures on yukino****a, it works perfectly fine in directx 9.
 
Hmmmm.... and this only happens with the Yukino****a armors? nothing else is like that at all? That's certainly odd.

Edit: Ah, you fixed it it. I assumed you already tried the direct x thing since you mentioned it before and it's so easy to check, o well.

On this subject I went and added the black version in anyway.  :grin: I'll prob go and find Geko ver1 and download the other coloured ones in later. May give it to a few other lords. Just for my personal preferance.  :wink:

Also: All 3 Miyoshi clan towns have the same battle scene, gets boring

Feature suggestion: Some bonus for holding Kyoto given everyone in the era wanted the imperial court. Even just a bit of right to rule would be nice.

how is it in first person? the reason i didn't use scherbyna's animation (although i believe it's still in the brfs i included in the beta) is because it was okay in third person but kind of wonky in first person

It's not great at the moment (the bow actually blocks the view) but that's not going to be hard to fix. I haven't had time to work on it recently but my exams finish on monday - I'll get it done then.
 
Spent last 20 minutes taking assets from the dead Shogun submod of Gekokujo 2.1.

Took out the Ashigaru armour and bandana aswell. Gave the bandana a +45 bonus as I like to give my guy a little character.

Found a download of Geko version 1, so going to take the decent models and textures from there and add em into 3.

To help phlpp I'll go over some Lords faces and make them a little more unique.

I'll post up the face codes for you later.

Since I have alot of free time in the Summer. Its about time I learn how to texture items in Warband. If I can be bothered I may restard that dead Shogun submod and port the items to Gekokujo 3 and recolour this armour for each major clan. Takeda is already sorted, and theres 1 Tokugawa Okegawa left over in the file.

So itll be if I get the hang of and find all the necessary software, I have photoshop to texture. Models are already there from that mod.

Thats a shame. If only I were Russian, then I could give no fugs. I guess it'll just be a personal project.

Looking forward to those animations Jacob. Your mod is making me giddy in excitement.
