MP Combat becomes completely scattered

In left stance (right foot forward) and a one-handed weapon try doing:

left/down to move backwards and right/up to move forwards.

Also down/right to move right, and up/left to move left.

Hold right block. Block left/right swings by looking into the direction of attack.

Kill with thrusts and overhead swings.

irl you can't stop time and discombobulate your way through in combat, try consciously thinking of all this, lose focus from your opponent and you're dead.

If this is actually more efficient than blocking the correct direction it's a great example of how awful the stance system is.

I don’t think it is actually more efficient because it is defeated by the opponent stepping to their right. It relies quite a bit on correct positioning. Not as useful in duels but more useful when there are many opponents swinging your way from left and right directions, or if you have a wall or a post on one side that can’t be slashed through.

The stance system is actually really well done. Using this helps against spaz feinting with tw’s absolutely atrociously poorly implemented netcode
