Just downloaded, fantastic work mate, a thousand times better than the default animations.

Really hope you continue with this, as it is definitely needed.
 
Finally have my real computer back, and hopefully will be fixing up some of the animations (particularly two-handed sword cuts from the sides) in the next little while.
 
Any chance of that working skeleton you mentioned in your PM? I tried redoing it several times again after I mailed you, still no result =/

Those look ridiculously better then the stock animations, I hope my favorite mods start using this soon.

Do you think it works well with PoP?

I'm kinda reluctant to replace the actions.txt, don't know if the one in the mod is modified in any way.
 
I adden one or two of these enhancements in manually. You just need to edit the animations into the Module_animations file... I think he just added the .txt to make adding them easier for first-time modders and suchlike.

And cheers for the mesh =D
 
Papa, do you think you would consider doing a sling animation for the thrown stone? Where they wind up their arm instead of just 'throw' the stone. Naturally without a proper weapon model it wouldn't work, but would you be interested in that if I could convince a modeler to do a sling model?
 
I will, if you'll make the animation. My animation skills aren't quite there yet, but I reckon it shouldn't be too hard to model or texture.

My suggestion (apologies if it's not needed) would be a simple over-the-right-shoulder action for the throw start, and then include the spin as part of the second animation sequence in the attack, to avoid issues with preparing to throw for a long period of time?

I love talking my way into others' projects ;D

Anyhow, i'd do what I can to help model + texture-wise if you're up for the animation :smile:

By the way, the Pre-Battle Order and Deployment Kit could use a spear bracing animation...

Not sure about the slinging animation - I've been very bad at animating anything lately (no motivation for it), and I want to reanimate a few things in CAE before I leave it.
