I have read in many threads that the developers want to keep bannerlord as simple and uncomplicated as possible because they assume that we the community want that, now I would like to ask the community's opinion about this project and would like to know whether it agrees with taleworld or not.

Just to make it clear when I am referring to a cod-like game then I mean the characteristics mentioned above of a simple, uncomplicated and fast game without any further depth.

They (Callum) said, that they want to keep it fast paced, so yes.

They seem to forget what we liked about Warband.

I think that this is a logic thing when you expand your audience so fast with the new game. Perhaps we have to wait for some good mots to go back to the older battles or they release a DLC/new version where they go "oldschool"

Taleworlds is just spitting on the face of their loyal fans ans Chore playerbase with their COD like approach to this game.

Taleworlds believe that the game would become too much complicated which is BS to me

I like the approach and it potentially can bring in a lot of people. Complexity can be added with mods and DLCs.

Nope.

One of the biggest examples of them stream lining the game is with the premade classes in MP, why in the ****ing world they won't give us more depth with customizable classes along side that I don't know.

One of the biggest missed opportunities as well is not having the weapon crafter in MP. Being able to design your own weapons and then have them in your own custom class would just be great.

Nope and it's absurd to me any devs that would consider it "more of an action game".
An action game where you can die in 1 hit and lose weeks of progress (if not re-loading)?
An action game that can go on for hundreds of hours to actually finish 1 game?
I want a long, grueling, start from dirt and build up the the ruler of the world strategy/Arpg hybrid with mounted combat!

Me too. I, just as you, also wanted a sequel to M&B. A world strategy ARPG would've been quite nice.

A lot of developers in Asia either do not produce a game for the West or produce a simplified version, Dragon Quest is a prime example of this. They believe that those from the West cannot handle a game with more complexity. However the recent feedback on this , is that those in the West want more complicated games. TaleWorlds seem to be working to the same principle as those from the East, unfortunately and not actually listening to the player base.

To be honest, I think this is mostly an excuse for their inability to manage a more complex project. It seems like they did make some efforts to add some complexity; take the clan system for instance, but all of those features are half baked and don't tie into each other well.

i get the impression we've reached peak complexity. TW is already having a hard time balancing whats going on now and i don't think much more can be added in the next 7 months before release without setting themselves back too far to handle

What is cod? What is cod-like? If this stands for Call of Duty, I don't get the comparison, can OP elaborate?

Keeping Bannerlord simple will not draw in new players, there are already many other, well established games which can fill the gap. Mount&Blades strengh and what differenciated it a lot from other games, was its complexity. That is also the solely reason, why players sticked arund for so long and were so loyal. You might say mods were the reason for that, but look at the most popular mods, they all add more complexity to the game, that is what players want, not "a fast paced game", which keeps repeating itself after 10 hours already.
